Tell us about yourself & your business:
I attended National Inspection Testing and Certification (NITC), earning my carpentry certification in 1981.
I worked a number of jobs relating to carpentry in various industries: Cabinetry, brick, plumbing, and carpet. In addition, I farmed with my father.
I married my wife in 1992 and had two wonderful daughters. We moved to Texas and called the Lone Star State home for 8 years before returning home again to South Dakota.
In 2008, I started with Showplace as service technician. Of which I have enjoyed.
Two years ago, we welcomed our first grandson and we’re looking forward to our second one in 2021. I enjoy woodworking and handyman-type projects. Some of my interests include cabinets, bookcases, pool tables, dressers, corn hole games, and much more.
What is your role at the Design Center?
My role is to assist all designers as their cabinet orders are being delivered and installed. Sometimes issues arise that require a fix or repair of any damage or defect, reorder and replacement doors, and other miscellaneous things. Sometimes items are damaged in shipping or upon installation. In those instances, we do what we can to help our customers correct the issues.
